“One Bad Monkey” 2022 solo exhibition at Women and Their Work featured large tapestries and foam soft sculptures by Dutch artist Steef Crombach.

Alfstad assisted Crombach in the media development of 3 large sculptures for the exhibition. Alfstad worked with artist and animator to create assets that would achieve Crombach’s intentions to abstract Austin iconography into textiles and patterns with audio-visual and projection capabilities.

The time-based sculptures, start natural in their muted white and transform into various stages of story, color and pattern with shadows dancing across the exhibit walls.
